FAQS
WHAT TYPE OF THERAPY DO YOU PRACTICE?
I practice cognitive-behavior therapy, which focuses on the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.  Our sessions are very active and involve setting goals and learning techniques to practice between our meetings.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Each session is approximately 50 minutes.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not accept insurance. Â I will provide you with an invoice for each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Â I would encourage you to contact your insurance company to inquire about your mental health benefits.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN A THERAPY SESSION?
Once you get settled into the office, we will begin by setting an agenda of topics you'd like to discuss during the session. Â This is to ensure that we use our time efficiently and you feel satisfied that we have addressed the issues that are most important to you. Â We will then typically review any homework or goals that we set during the previous session. Â The remainder of the session will be devoted to new issues that have arisen during the week and also may include learning new skills or techniques. Â We'll end the session by making a plan for what you can practice between sessions.
